25th Workshop on IRT in Twente

The next Workshop on Item Response Theory will be held at the University of Twente from Tuesday, October 13 through Thursday, October 15, 2009, with a welcoming reception on Monday from 16.00 h p.m. till 19.00 h p.m., October 12.
 
As this is the 25th anniversary of the Workshop, we would like to take the opportunity to look back at the history 
of the workshop as well as forward to the future developments in IRT. For this reason we have invited all of our earlier international keynote speakers to present a paper on what they see as key developments in IRT. 

This year’s keynote speaker will be Wim van der Linden, the founding father of the Workshop.Up to now, twelve of the old keynote speakers have already promised to present a paper during the Workshop.

You are kindly invited to participate in the Workshop. Although attendance is invitational, we gladly consider 
invitations to persons in your institution or organization with an active interest in IRT who are not on the list of invitees.

As has been usual, participants will have the opportunity to present a paper, but because all attending former keynote speakers will contribute to the programme, a somewhat smaller number than at the previous workshops can be accepted. 
One of our selection criteria will be the degree to which the paper reports on active research on (an application) of IRT. 
Participants who want to submit a proposal, which should have a length of approximately 250 words, should send in 
your presentation proposal in the registration form.

The deadline for this proposal submission is August, 1, 2009.

Registration for the Workshop can take place by filling out the registration form on www.utwente.nl/irtworkshop. 
Please register as soon as possible, and no laterthan September 1.

On Wednesday, October 14, the day will end with a short discovery of Twente followed by the usual conference 
dinner.

The participation fee is € 295,-. Lunches and the conference dinner are included in the fee. You will receive an invoice upon registration.

For the workshop, we have made reservations for hotel rooms in Twente at reduced rates. If you want to make use 
of this, please fill this in on the registration form.
